First-Timer’s Tour

Welcome to Music City Dogs Country Club! We’re so excited to meet you and your pup. Here’s everything you need to know for a smooth and stress-free first stay:

What to Pack

  • Pre-portioned food labeled with your dog’s name and meal schedule
  • Medications with clear written instructions
  • A secure harness for walks or runs (if applicable)
  • A comfort object such as an unstuffed blanket or tshirt that smells like home.

What Not to Pack

  • Toys, beds, or bowls – we provide everything your dog needs
  • Rawhide or high-risk treats
  • Anything glass or breakable
  • Crates
  • Sentimental items that can’t be replaced
  • Blankets/Beds/Pillows with stuffing (these can be easily torn and ingested)

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

All drop-offs and pickups must be scheduled during business hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–1:30 PM & 5:00 PM–7:00 PM
  • Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Please text upon arrival and we’ll come meet you at your vehicle. Dogs should remain leashed at all times while on the property.

If you’re running late, contact us as soon as possible. Late arrivals may require rescheduling.

Drop-Off Guidelines

  • Dogs begin their stay outside to encourage a bathroom break before entering the facility
  • Keep goodbyes quick and calm — this helps reduce anxiety and ease their transition
  • We’ll introduce new dogs one-on-one until they’re comfortable and matched with a playgroup

If Your Dog is Nervous, Shy, or Anxious

That’s okay! We go slow, give space, and provide gentle encouragement. Many dogs grow more confident with each visit. We’ll keep their experience positive and pressure-free.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM: Morning potty break and outdoor play
  • 7:00 AM: Breakfast
  • 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM: Outdoor playtime, walks, one-on-one play, fetch, puzzles, exploration, and scheduled rest periods. During hot months, we set up water toys for extra fun and cooling off.
  • 7PM Dinner
  • 8PM-9PM Last time out to potty.
  • 9PM Bedtime tuck-in with soft music and a treat

Supervision & Safety

Dogs are supervised during all group activities and outdoor time. We carefully watch for any signs of discomfort or agitation and intervene quickly to ensure every dog is happy and having the best vacation possible. Quiet time and naps are monitored via cameras and walkthroughs. Safety and well-being are our top priorities.

Playgroups & Socialization

We group dogs by size and temperament. Not all dogs enjoy group play—and that’s okay! We tailor their day with personal attention, walks, one-on-one enrichment, or low-key time outdoors if preferred.

Sleeping Arrangements

Dogs sleep in individual suites with raised cots, calming music, and soft lighting. Our goal is a peaceful, comfortable overnight experience.

Food, Meds & Feeding

We feed breakfast at 7:00 AM and dinner at 7:00 PM. To ensure consistency and minimize tummy troubles, we only serve food and treats provided by the owner. Please clearly label all food with your dog’s name and detailed feeding instructions.

Medications must also be provided by the owner, clearly labeled with your dog’s name and exact instructions for administration.

We offer lick mats and interactive treat toys. If you’d like your dog to enjoy these, feel free to send appropriate treats. You may also indicate in your dog’s profile if they can have peanut butter, pumpkin, or training treats provided by Music City Dogs.

Will I Get Photos?

Yes! We send regular photo updates during your dog’s stay and also post highlights on our Instagram. While daily texts aren’t guaranteed, we do our best to keep you updated and connected during their time with us.

If Your Dog Gets Sick or Injured

We’ll contact you immediately. If necessary, we’ll transport your dog to a local vet and keep you fully informed throughout. Please note: the veterinarian will need to speak directly with you or your designated emergency contact in order to provide care and collect a deposit. We recommend making sure your emergency contact is aware and available during your dog’s stay.

Going Home

Please text upon arrival for pickup. We’ll gather your dog and their things and bring them out to your car.

For dogs staying 7+ nights, enjoy a discounted Final Bow Bath before they head home fresh and clean.
